Laurie’s Legacy

Back in 2002 when Laurie started Cirrus, he had an approach where you don’t argue with the client and there were no problems, only solutions. His aim was to deliver a quality product and service, provide unbeatable after sales support and knew that if he could do this, customers would keep coming back.

Laurie had been in the lift industry for many years before going out on his own, he knew all the old ways and knew what was needed to succeed in the industry in the future. He started Cirrus because he saw an opportunity to provide something he believed was missing from the market, something he knew he could do and do well.

The design and technology of the products was a key aspect which really interested Laurie and he was motivated to work with suppliers who built their components in house. Having complete product knowledge, from development and manufacture through to selling and after sales product support, was something he valued highly.  He strived to support local wherever possible.

Not your standard pushy salesperson, Laurie would just let people come to him when they were ready. He knew his offer was solid and products and service spoke for themselves. He was also all about the added extras, the ‘little sprinkles’ on top whether it be graphics, design or even his industry famous inclusion of lollies with every order.  He had the background, knowledge, expertise,  contacts and personality to deliver…each and every time!

And for those of you who know him well, you knew that if you ever wanted to know anything, anything at all, you phoned Laurie. His great sense of humour, contacts and industry connections meant he always had all the lift industry gossip..if something was going down, Laurie knew about it!
